East of Sterzing / Vipiteno in the direction of the Zillertal Alps, far away from mass tourism, there is a very special valley: the Pfitschtal / Val di Vizze. As one of the most natural zones in all of South Tyrol, our valley is a true paradise for summit climbers and those seeking peace and quiet. The holiday apartments at the Laimbruchhof are the ideal starting point for numerous hiking and biking tours as well as sporting and cultural activities in every season. We are pleased to present you here some highlights.
Rotbachlspitze (2,897 m), Rotes Beil (2,949 m), Kraxentrager (2,999 m), Wolfendorn (2,783 m), Wilde Kreuzspitze (3,134 m), Hochfeiler (3,510 m) - this list of unique summit destinations in Pfitsch could go on and on. ‘No summit too high, no path too far’ is the motto here. Exciting tours in high alpine terrain meet leisurely walks in the valley. Whether in summer on foot or on a mountain bike, in winter on skis or snowshoes - in Pfitsch in the upper Eisack Valley, the hearts of real mountain fans beat faster. And when you return from an active day in the great outdoors, our bike and ski depot at the Laimbruchhof farm is available free of charge for you to store your sports equipment.
Children are at home outdoors. What luck that there are so many opportunities for exciting outdoor activities in our valley. At the Laimbruchhof farm, our playground with swings and trampoline, the farm meadow and the neighbouring forest invite children to play and be creative. In winter, you can toboggan, slide or play right on the farm. In the municipal park in Wiesen, a Kneipp facility, a mini-golf course and a large playground await you in summer and a great natural ice rink in winter. Not forgetting the leisurely family hike to the Moassl waterfall and the mushroom trail in Pfitsch or the natural monument dripstone spring in the Burgum valley or the ‘Skytrek’ high ropes course in Sterzing. The Rosskopf, Ladurns and Ratschings-Jaufen family ski areas are just ten or 20 minutes by car from our holiday apartments. Nothing stands in the way of a really great family holiday in South Tyrol.

Even the old Norwegians knew that cross-country skiing is one of the healthiest winter sports. Whether you prefer the skating style or the classic technique, the panoramic cross-country ski trail in the Pfitsch high valley is suitable for all levels of difficulty and is just a few minutes' drive from the holiday apartments at the Laimbruchhof. ‘Crossing the Alps on foot’ is the dream of many mountain lovers. With seven stages through varied landscapes, the long-distance hiking trail ‘Crossing the Alps’ leads from Lake Tegernsee via Lake Achensee on to the Zillertal and over the Pfitscher Joch through the Pfitschtal to Sterzing. You are welcome to walk a section of the trail yourself and get a taste of the long-distance hiking adventure.
Even though South Tyrol is located on the sunny side of the Alps, of course we also have rainy weather from time to time. Then we sit together in a cozy atmosphere, have fun with a card or board game or read that book that has been on the bedside table for ages. Or how about a trip to one of our beautiful Alpine towns? Sterzing, Brixen, Klausen, Bozen and Innsbruck are within easy reach of the Laimbruchhof and await you with an exciting cultural and varied shopping program.
